Susannah Bruder
Susannah Bruder, founder of Yoga Sita, has devoted twenty five years to her practice of Yoga. A Yoga Teacher for fifteen years, Yoga Sita, located near Susannah’s home in Potrero Hill, represents a dream come true. Prior to teaching, Susannah developed and ran a Rehabilitation Therapy program at Mission District Chiropractors in San Francisco (1992 - '96), and was a certified massage therapist (1987 - '92). Susannah blends her practical understanding of Yoga and knowledge of the human body, with well-informed instructions and occasional humor. Her teaching is precise, graceful, focused.
Susannah taught six weekly classes at Piedmont Yoga Studio in Oakland for five years, ending in 2001, and completed two years of Teacher Training with Rodney Yee in 1997. She is inspired by the Bhakti teachings & chants of Krishna Das www.krishnadas.com); her first Teacher, Antonio Sanchez; her Teacher of ten years, Zhander Remete (www.shadowyoga.com); great teachers Michael Baresse, Glenn Brugman, Ramanand Patel, Judith Lassater, Zen Teacher Edward Espe Brown, Sri Dharma Mittra and the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli. A lifelong athlete and lover of the outdoors, Susannah enjoys regular coastal excursions with her gorgeous dog, Sita, who attends some classes at her namesake studio. susannahyoga@aol.com
Todd Hosfelt
Todd is a natural Yogi with an absolutely beautiful practice. Todd teaches when Susannah is away, and has cultivated a deep understanding over his ten years of practice, here and in NYC. Todd is a Teacher Apprentice with Susannah. His classes are usually challenging and a lot of fun; he is a caring, considerate and very smart teacher - everyone loves Todd's class.
Margo Crouppen
Margo loves the Bird of Paradise, and she will help you love this pose too, when you take her class. Margo is a Teacher Apprentice at Yoga Sita and infuses her classes with her natural grace and beauty, focus, and a flow that will ease you into Savasana.
